Malawi Wildlife Rescue: Series 1 This 6 part series - Malawi is a small African country that has made a big push to protect its wildlife. Leading the effort is American veterinarian Dr. Amanda Salb and her colleagues at the country's only animal rescue center, where injured and abandoned creatures are saved and rehabilitated. This six-part series follows the dedicated team as they care for a variety of patients, including vervet monkeys, bulbuls, baboons, hedgehogs, and many more, often working with limited resources and in dangerous conditions as they prepare the animals to return to the wild.

Amanda races to save an elephant calf tangled in a poacher's wire snare, while back at the rescue centre Alma tries to get the newest and cutest arrival, a baby baboon nicknamed Doodle Bob, to bond with a foster baboon mother.

[edit] Monkey Madness

Amanda puts a radio collar on one of the first cheetah cubs born in Malawi in twenty years, the team struggles to give a 4-meter python a physical, and a group of tourists deliver a rambunctious baby monkey they rescued from the pet trade.

The team prepares to release two beautiful and elusive spotted cats called servals. The plan goes awry when one escapes into the dangerous city of Lilongwe. Meanwhile, it's all hands on deck when a baby monkey arrives in a critical condition.

Amanda goes on a white knuckle bush-whacking adventure to rescue a waterbuck caught by a poacher's snare. Meanwhile, the centre's resident hyena is treated for fly-bitten ears and Alma gets a mysterious late night monkey delivery.
