This is a documenatry about Hai Deng who was a revered abbot of the Shaolin Temple during the 20th century and was famed for his wisdom and deep knowledge of the martial arts as well as for being able to support most of his body weight on one finger. Among a host of features in this film we see parts of Jet Li's youth practice of martial arts, weapons demonstrations, Ba Gua Quan, Tai Chi and various other Shaolin fighting styles and training exercises.
