The Nature of Things looks at the migration patterns of shorebirds and a unique network created to ensure shorebird flights continue to mark the changing seasons. The Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network is a voluntary, international organization of government and private agencies from both hemispheres set up to co-ordinate protection of all the sites crucial to shorebirds. This network represents an encouraging step towards a global conservation perspective.
