In 1994, custody officer and writer-filmmaker David J. Sperling began to document the life of Mark David Allen, a 33 year old chronic alcoholic in an attempt to help Mark get sober. Over the next 17 years, Sperling put together a cinematic diary of Mark's dark remarkable journey.
