The Bible says Jesus fed a crowd of 5000 with a few loaves and fishes, stilled a storm with a word, healed the sick and lame, walked on water, turned water into wine and brought the dead back to life.

This BBC series uses drama, special photography and computer generated images to bring the miracles of Jesus to life, whilst Rageh Omaar is our guide in Israel as he tries to decipher the meaning of the miracles of Jesus.

Even if you don't believe in miracles, Jesus had a great reputation as a miracle worker amongst friend and foe alike, something also acknowledged by contemporary historians and rival faiths. That indisputable fact prompts the question - what do the miracles reveal about who the people at the time believed Jesus was?

Jesus was renowned for being able to perform incredible deeds. For centuries the Christian church has taught that these spectacular acts were signs that Jesus was God's only son. But in this, the second programme in the series, Rageh Omaar wants to find out whether this is just wishful thinking, or whether it's what Jesus himself really believed?

The resurrection was hailed as the miracle of miracles and became a pillar of the Christian faith. But why? In the final programme in the series, Rageh Omaar travels from Jerusalem to Rome finding out what exactly the resurrection meant to those first followers of Jesus.
